MCC Offers New Online Payment Plan System
Press Release
Issue date: 4/21/05 Section: News
McHenry County College is currently accepting registrations for fall semester for current and previously enrolled students. New students may register beginning April 8.
MCC credit students can now take advantage of new interest-free monthly payment plan options that replace the previous in-house system. The new options are made possible through a partnership with FACTS Tuition Management Company, which will handle the college's payment plan.
While the college's prior plan required students to be enrolled in at least six credit hours and to complete a paper application in person, the new FACTS Payment Plan has no minimal credit hour requirement and students can sign up online. Another benefit of the plan is that students enrolled for fall semester may spread payments out up to five installments if they are registered by May 31.
"As the costs of higher education continue to rise and student and family resources become stretched, MCC is excited about our partnership with FACTS to offer students an improved payment plan with more options and flexibility than was previously available," said Todd McDonald, assistant vice president of finance.
After students have registered, they may enroll in the FACTS Payment Plan online at www.mchenry.edu by clicking on the link "Register Online" and follow the instructions. Students may make payments through automatic bank transfer from checking or savings accounts or pay by credit card.
The fee to enroll in FACTS Payment Plan is $25 per semester, which is nonrefundable and payable directly to FACTS.
For more information on the FACTS Tuition Payment Plan, contact the MCC Bursar's Office at (815) 455-8910. Brochures are also available in the MCC Student Services areas in Building A.
