Each year the super bowl is supposed to be a place where small and large companies alike can come together in their pursuit of customers. Each year companies try to outdo each other to make the best super bowl commercial. Companies like Pets.com have gone from unknown directly into the spotlight (unfortunately for Pets.com, from the spotlight into bankruptcy). For the amount of money a super bowl commercial costs, you'd think companies would make some great commercials. This year was a disappointing crop of commercials to say the least.

Fed Ex had the right idea, they decided to show the 10 things that make a great super bowl commercial. This commercial showed all 10 things in order highlighting each part with a subtitle on the bottom of the screen. Any commercial that features a dancing bear kicking Burt Reynolds in the groin works for me. The cute kid, cheerleaders, and classic rock song made the commercial a true work of art.

As for the rest, the worst commercial had to be for Cialis. Cialis is an impotency drug that works similar to Viagra, except the effects last for up to 36 hours. The fact that the commercial showed a bunch of old people ready to get it on was quite disturbing. I realize It's a natural thing, but still, did millions of super bowl viewers really need to see that? Especially when they were most likely inebriated and had sensitive stomachs to begin with. Overall this year's commercials were disappointing, yet I still think the world would be a better place if Burt Reynolds got kicked in the groin everyday by a dancing bear. It's official, I'm using FedEx.
