On October 13 President Bush signed into law the Security Accountability for Every Port Act (SAFE) designed to direct money at beefing up security at American ports and preventing dangerous weapons from entering the country. Yet when this bill became law, poker players everywhere were enraged.

The women's volleyball season is coming to a close as the ladies look optimistically towards the regional playoffs. The season thus far has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Currently the team is coming off a successful 5-2 record on the road, before that they unfortunately went 1-3 in Iowa at a tournament in Des Moines.

The MCC Fighting Lady Scots basketball team is hitting the court, and with only two returning players this season, they're hitting it hard.
"Our freshmen bring a lot of dedication - something you don't always get," explains sophomore Susannah Cartlind. Cartlind is one of only two returning sophomores this season whose experience, when combined with the freshmen dedication, will do a lot for the team.
